about

This song was recorded when I was around 19 and eventually appeared on Chewing on Tinfoil's MysterEP around the year 2007-8. I thought I'd give it one last shot when Toast Office asked me to be a part of their first compilation release.

lyrics

So we are forced together, beaten black and blue.
Put through thick and thin and thinner, but it's what we do.
In the morning when you wake up to the fact that when you look into the mirror there's a stranger looking back.
When the night comes and you can't really decide - do you want to keep on living or do you want to feel alive?

So maybe all of our dilemmas are in out heads?
Everything is handed to us 'til the day we're dead
In the morning when you wake up to the fact that when you look into the mirror there's a stranger looking back
When the night comes and you can't really decide do you want to keep on living or do you want to feel alive?

But oh, we don't know.
When I stumble and the stumble turns to fall,
It's harder to build a bridge than to laugh and watch it fall.
This song would have been shorter but I didn't have much time for less cliché hooks and more unfamiliar rhymes like "god knows I'm trying".

We're on this kamikaze mission that they call faith and we'll go out with all guns blazing.

Meandering folk songs. May or may not mention my hatred of public transport.
